    Professor Jingwen Mao Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences

Professor Mao is an Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and currently the Director of MLR Key Laboratory of Metallogeny and Mineral Assessment. His research focuses on ore-forming processes and generic models of metallic mineral deposits. He has undertaken many national projects as Principal Scientist and/or Project Leader. He also serves as an associate editor for international journals, such as “Ore Geology Reviews” and “Journal of Geochemical Exploration”. He was the former vice-chairman of the Institute of Mineral Resources, CAGS, the chairman of IAGOD. His works are highly recognized by numerous awards. He was also elected as a fellow for SEG (1996) and AusIMM (2015) and awarded the Kutina-Smirnov prize for his lifetime achievement in economic geology by IAGOD in 2018.
