My research interest lies in the isotopic geochemical evolution of the Earth's lithosphere during different times, with application to their tectonic history. I am using igneous rocks as a tool, studying from multiple views, including isotope geochemistry, geochronology, and paleomagnetism. Early studies focused on orogenies of different times: Paleoproterozoic of Central Africa, Paleo–Mesozoic of Central Asia, and Meso–Cenozoic of NE Asia.
Ongoing research interests to explore (1) lithospheric thickness and differentiation processes in early Earth on samples from Isua, SW Greenland, (2) magmatic and hydrothermal processes of rare-metal granites from Mongolia.
